1 Introduction
This EVM is designed to help engineers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS7A47xx linear
regulator for possible use in their own circuit application. Notable features of this LDO regulator include
thermal and current limit shutdown protection, pin selectable output voltage, low dropout, and low noise
(~3.5 µV / Hz). The EVM contains a single linear regulator in a 5 mm × 5 mm, QFN (RGW), thermally
enhanced (PowerPad™) package. This regulator, including external components, is capable of delivering
up to 1.0 A to a dynamic load across the full recommended input and output voltage range of the LDO. A
multi-pin header with jumpers is provided to enable easy manual selection of the output voltage.
